Description

This 4th annual one-day course will begin with a discussion of ferns and their peculiarities. We will briefly examine each of the more than 50 species of ferns native to Massachusetts, in many cases with the aid of digital images and preserved specimens. We will explain how to identify them in the field. and there will be some opportunity for microscopic observation. We will conclude with a one-hour tour of the Garden's considerable fern population.
