Description

The small town of Adamant Vermont, 8 miles north of Montpelier, is nestled between two ponds and the East Montpelier Town Forest. It hosts a surprising diversity of ferns, club-mosses, and horsetails. We will visit primarily the evergreen species, but note also any deciduous plants still presentable so late in the season. Fairly level terrain, some along roadsides, but some off-trail walking as well. I expect few bugs and little poison ivy.
